Tim Manchester United pada awal sesi 1905-06, yang pada saat itu menjadi juara dua di Divisi 2 dan terangkat.

Tim pertama kali dibentuk dengan nama Newton Heath Lancashire and Yorkshire Railwaiy F.C. pada 1878 sebagai tim karya Lancashire dan Yorkshire, stasiun kereta api di Newton Heath. Kaos tim berwarna hijau - emas. Mereka bermain di sebuah lapangan kecil di North Road, dekat stasiun kereta api Piccadilly Manchester selama lima belas tahun, sebelum pindah ke Bank Street di kota dekat Clayton pada 1893. Tim sudah memasuki kompetisi sepak bola tahun sebelumnya dan mulai memutuskan hubungannya dengan stasiun kereta api, menjadi perusahaan mandiri, mengangkat seorang sekretaris perkumpulan dan pengedropan "L&YR" dari nama mereka untuk menjadi Newton Heath F.C saja..

Manchester United

Manchester United was formed in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR Football Club by the Carriage and Wagon department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (LYR) depot at Newton Heath. The team initially played games against other departments and rail companies, but on 20 November 1880, they competed in their first recorded match; wearing the colours of the railway company – green and gold – they were defeated 6–0 by Bolton Wanderers' reserve team. By 1888, the club had become a founding member of The Combination, a regional football league. Following the league's dissolution after only one season, Newton Heath joined the newly formed Football Alliance, which ran for three seasons before being merged with the Football League. This resulted in the club starting the 1892–93 season in the First Division, by which time it had become independent of the rail company and dropped the "LYR" from its name. After two seasons, the club was relegated to the Second Division.

Siapa yang tidak kenal dengan Klub Manchester United ? Klub Sepak Bola asal Inggris dengan segudang prestasi. Jika anda tidak mengenalnya, pasti anda bukan salah satu penggemar Sepak Bola, atau yang paling konyol mungkin anda bukan penduduk dari planet bumi ini. Sedangkan Negara yang terisolir semacam Korea Utara saja, setahu saya masih menayangkan acara Liga Champion dengan Klub raksaksa ini sebagai Juaranya. Di Indonesia supporter dari klub Manchester United (Manchunian) ditandai dengan adanya Fans Club Suppoter MU yang bisa dicari di Internet, kebetulan saya juga penggemar Manchester United loh :-). Dengan anggota yang bertebaran diseluruh Indonesia. Semakin banyaknya fans dari Klub besar ini, maka Sepak Bola bukan sekedar Olah raga tapi sudah memasuki Wilayah Bisnis. Pada bulan Januari 2006 didirikanlah Cafe Bar MU di Sarinah Thamirin Jakarta, kemudian setahun kemudian didirikan juga outlet mereka di Paris Van Java Bandung. Bahkan pada Juli 2009, PSSI mengundang MU ke Indonesia. Tapi sayang, akhirnya MU membatalkan tur nya ke Indonesia karena peristiwa bom JW Marriott dan Ritz Carlton. 

SEJARAH LAMBANG SETAN MERAH 

Pada akhir tahun 1960an lambang setan mulai dimasukkan menjadi bagian dari badge Manchester United. Setan berwarna merah yang sedang memegang Garpu Tala tepat diletakkan pada tengah logo. Menurut catatan, Matt Busby mengambil logo setan tersebut dari sebuah Klub Rugbi Salford City Reds Rugby. Logo klub rugbi tersebut juga ada gambar setannya. Logo setan merah dengan garpu tala juga ditemui pada lambang freeBSD sebuah sistem operasi berbasis Linux keluaran Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD). Silahkan anda cari pada pencarian google gambar. Setan lucu itu bernama beastie. Selain freeBSD, Berkeley Software Distribution juga memproduksi BSD daemon, biasanya software ini dikaitkan dengan email. Taukah anda apa itu daemon ? Daemon = Demon artinya Jurik atau setan. Lambang setan banyak ditemukan dalam khazanah budaya barat. Selain setan beastie juga didapat lambang setan seperti Bapomet, pentagram, 666, lucifer. Kenapa begitu banyak lambang setan? Dibarat banyak sekte2 yang menyembah pada setan, di era klasik penyembahan pada setan terjadi dalam bentuk Magic, sihir, pengorbanan manusia dll. Tapi di era sekarang para penyembah setan (Satanik) bisa dalam bentuk Atheisme, Materialisme. Mereka menganggap setan sebagai mahluk yang kritis, cerdas, pemberontak dan jujur. Mereka juga sangat menjunjung tinggi Teori Darwin. Mereka masuk ke bidang Musik, Olah Raga, Film, Penerbitan, Pendidikan, dan bidang2 lain yang belum tentu terpikirkan oleh anda. Mereka bukanlah budaya yang baru muncul belakangan, mereka adalah budaya yang terwarisi dari jaman dulu, berasal dari ajaran paganis para penyihir dimasa Fir'aun. Ingat mereka kalah dengan Ilmu Tauhid nabi Musa. Siapa dan apa sebenarnya mereka saat ini ?
